CellForge — Lithium-ion Cell Production Simulator
Loading the interactive production simulator…
CellForge follows a reference lithium-ion cell production route from incoming electrode materials to a formed, aged, tested and packed cell, for pouch, cylindrical and prismatic formats. Its process sequence follows the February 2026 fifth edition of the PEM RWTH Aachen / VDMA process guide.
What the simulator covers
- Slurry mixing, coating, drying, calendering and slitting.
- Vacuum drying, sheet separation, and stacking or winding.
- Tab joining, enclosure, electrolyte filling and wetting.
- Formation, pouch-cell degassing, aging, grading and end-of-line testing.
- Which cell component each step is responsible for, the material flow, process references and a guided tour.
What its numbers are
Published sources support the process sequence and the displayed operating ranges, and the quantitative reference recipe is graphite/NMC. Capacity, throughput, wetting, process-health, interphase and risk-control outputs are illustrative teaching relationships — not calibrated plant predictions, equipment sizing or product-release criteria. Other chemistries and process routes need different material properties, operating windows and validation. The machine schematics are educational redraws; site procedures, equipment manuals, validated recipes, safety systems and regulations always take precedence.
